NHS plans for the year ahead

Today, plans have been outlined for what commissioners and providers of NHS care will do in 2015/16 to deliver on the Five Year Forward View for the NHS, which was published earlier this year.
The planning guidance has been produced by NHS England, Public Health England, Monitor, the NHS Trust Development Authority, Health Education England, and the Care Quality Commission.
Commenting on its publication, David Behan, Chief Executive of the Care Quality Commission said: “The Five Year Forward View sets out an exciting vision for the future. CQC has an impartial role to play to make sure services provide people with safe, high quality and compassionate care.”
