The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has announced the reappointments of Sir Robert Francis QC and Paul Rew as non-executive directors for a second three-year term.

Peter Wyman, Chairman of the Care Quality Commission said: “I am delighted that both Sir Robert and Paul have been reappointed by the Secretary of State to serve a further term on the CQC board.

“They have both made and will continue to make an enormous contribution to our work. Sir Robert has played a vital part in helping and advising on the setting up the office for the national guardian for speaking up safely in the NHS and Paul has expertly chaired our Audit and Risk Committee.

“On behalf of the rest of the Board, I congratulate Sir Robert and Paul on their reappointments and I look forward to continuing to work with them.”
