Ruth Owen OBE is Chief Executive at Leonard Cheshire and took up the role in February 2021.
Leonard Cheshire is a leading disability charity and social care provider. Ruth and her team are building an organisation equipped to meet the needs of the next generation of disabled people through life-changing social care and support.
Previously, Ruth was Chief Executive at Whizz-Kidz - a national children’s disability charity providing mobility equipment and services.
In 2018, she was appointed as a non-executive director of Motability Operations Group Plc, and served as a former member of The Mayor of London’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Group.
In 2022, she was appointed as trustee for the Social Mobility Foundation, a charity that aims to make a practical improvement in social mobility for young people.
