Safeguarding

Score: 3

The provider had a safeguarding policy in place. They notified the local authority and CQC of any safeguarding issues when required. Analysis of any themes and trends took place. Where themes were identified, these were reviewed and any learning was shared across the organisation.

One staff member said, “[Staff] are here a lot, we know the people well and understand their triggers and how to avoid them. We know what we need to do when anyone becomes upset.”

People were unable to tell us verbally about their experience. We observed interaction between staff and people. Staff created an environment that enabled people to express themselves safely.
