During an inspection looking at part of the service

This review did not involve talking to people who use the service. We carried out this review by asking the trust to confirm what improvements they have made to the hospital environment since our last visit in March 2011, when concerns were raised.

9 March 2011

A number of people said that the beds were uncomfortable. People said that they had plenty to eat and drink and there was always a choice of food. Some people described the meals as 'bland' or 'uninteresting'. Staff were described as 'approachable' and 'helpful' and people felt that they were treated with dignity and respect.
