During a routine inspection

We visited the main office of Exora Medical Limited, spoke with the registered manager and checked records. We also spoke with three hospitals that used Exora to provide patient transport services. One person told us, "we use Exora when we need extra transport and they have never let us down.' Another person said 'they're reliable and punctual and the staff are always polite.' A third person said 'their vehicles are spotless.'

We saw that regular checks were completed on the ambulances to make sure they were safe and clean for people to use.

Staff recruitment procedures were in place and the provider had identified the need to address shortfalls in record keeping that were identified when Exora took over the service from the previous provider.

Systems were in place to investigate and resolve, where possible, complaints received from people using the service.
