During a routine inspection

During our inspection the expert by experience telephone interviewed 22 people who used the service and asked for their views about their care treatment and support needs, and were they acted on. We also spoke with nine staff. People who use services told us they received the support they needed, and support workers followed the routines outlined in the care plans. People commented about the staff who supported them told us. They told us: 'They all treat me kindly and are very good' another person said: 'Usually no problems, but I have had to stop them calling me darling.' One person said: 'I have the care plan which is in my folder and this was put together by the agency, myself and social services.' People told us they felt safe with their support workers, but were not always happy with how their complaints and comments were dealt with. We found the service was non compliant around the arrangements for managing risk and care reviews, safeguarding procedures and monitoring the quality of service that people received.
