During a routine inspection
'They are smashing, I would recommend them'
'I am really happy. It has been a very positive experience. We have three named carers and it works great'
'The carers are really polite, I cannot fault them'
We visited the office of Beecholme Support Services Limited twice with a ten day gap between visits. This was to enable the service, which had recently been set up, to gather information that was not readily available on our initial visit.
We spoke with three carers, the deputy manager, registered manager and a business partner of the company. During our inspection we looked at records and other documentation to gather evidence of people's experiences of the service.
Through speaking with both people who used the service and staff, we found no evidence to suggest that people's needs had not been met. However on our initial visit people's needs were not always reflected in the care records. On our return visit we found more detailed care plans and risk assessments were in place.
The manager told us all staff had completed an induction. All three staff we spoke with confirmed they had completed an induction process and had shadowed a more experienced member of staff prior to delivering care. We looked at three staff files and saw training certificates which confirmed staff training was up to date.
