Archived: Kazlum Support

We met six people who used the service, and spoke to four staff, the office manager, and one of the company directors. We looked at the care records of four people receiving a service and the recruitment records of three staff. Following the visit we spoke with three relatives of people using the service.

There were seventeen people receiving support services at the time of our inspection, all with a variety of needs. Most people lived in Exeter, some in shared accommodation, some alone and some with their family.

We saw that people were safe and their care and welfare was managed in accordance with their care plans. People were fully involved in decisions about their care and were protected from the risk of abuse through appropriate, knowledgeable and trained staff.

We found some areas of concern with the systems for monitoring the quality of the service. We also identified concerns that the service had failed to notify us about.
