All Inspections

19 November 2013

During a routine inspection

We spoke with a relative of the one person who used the service. They told us that they were happy with the service that their relative was provided with. They said, "We are very happy, it is the best we have ever had."

We looked at the care records of the one person who used the service and found that they experienced care, treatment and support that met their needs and protected their rights. We saw that the person had been consulted about the care that they were provided with. The person was provided with a live-in care service. We were satisfied that the person was provided with the care and support that they needed. This report contains minimal information about the person to ensure that their right to confidentiality is maintained.

The provider had systems in place to minimise the risks of abuse. We saw records which showed that the care worker who was employed by the service was trained to meet the needs of the person who used the service. We saw that checks were made before the care worker started working in the service to ensure that they were able to work with vulnerable people.

We saw that the provider had systems in place to monitor and assess the service provided.

The provider was in the process of moving the service to another address and they had submitted a variation to their registration to the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
