During a routine inspection

We spoke with six patients and one person from the Patient Reference Group. We found most people were happy with the service provided. People spoke positively about the staff at the practice and improvements made in the past year. There remained some concerns about the appointment system although people were not always aware of the triage system in place where they speak to the practice nurse who is able to offer advice or book an appointment. One person said they were happy with the support from the doctor who, 'explains things and asks how I feel.'

There were safeguarding policies and procedures for both children and vulnerable adults. One of the doctors was the identified lead for safeguarding and staff were clear about actions to be taken when concerns were identified.

We found the practice was clean and tidy with effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection.

There were arrangements in place to ensure staff received appropriate training opportunities and had updating training provided as necessary.
