Patients are referred to the clinic for treatment by their own GP. Once the treatment is completed the patient is then discharged. Because of this process, patients often only attend the clinic on one, or a few, occasion(s).
People's views and experiences were taken into account in the way the service was provided and delivered in relation to their care. One person said 'they offered me a time which wasn't suitable so I told them another time that was better for me and there was no problem.'
People experienced care, treatment and support that met their needs and protected their rights. People told us they were seen quickly for appointments and were kept informed about their treatment.
People were cared for in a clean, hygienic environment. There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection.
People were cared for, or supported by, suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff. The clinic had appropriate recruitment procedures in place.
The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people receive.
