During a routine inspection

We inspected the Shine Homecare offices on 20 December 2013 and also spoke to people who used the service at a later date. People told us that they were 'happy' with the care that was being provided and that the care staff 'did their job well' and that the staff were 'fantastic' and 'incredibly flexible with notice'. Staff we spoke with told us that they 'actually cared about people like they would care for their own family' and felt supported by the provider to care for people in a person centred manner.

We found that the provider was meeting the standards that we had inspected. People were asked for their consent before care was provided and were being cared for by staff who were aware of their needs and had received the appropriate training and support. This included the safe administration of medication. The provider was also regularly monitoring the quality of service through client questionnaires and feedback.
