During a routine inspection
We found the service gave people information to help them make informed choices about the care and support they received. A detailed service user guide had been developed to give people information about the service and what they could expect.
People's needs were assessed thoroughly before they came to the home. Written plans of care were devised in consultation with people with the aim of promoting independence through improving life skills. Assessments of needs and written plans of care were regulalry reviewed to ensure they met people's changing needs.
Staff had undergone training in safeguarding vulnerable adults and suitable policies and procedures were in place to ensure staff were fit to perform in their role. These measures helped ensure people were safe and cared for by suitably qualified and experienced staff who were of good character.
The registered manager had implemented systems to enable them to effectively monitor the quality of the service delivered to people. A schedule of audits was n the process of being developed. People were asked for their views and experiences of the support they had received, which were used to inform changes to the service.
