All Inspections

During a routine inspection

All of the people said that they had positive experiences of the service and had gained social and health benefits as a result of the support and treatment that they had received.

There were effective communication systems in place for the sharing of relevant information between agencies who were contributing in meeting people's health and social care needs.

People were supported when taking their prescribed medication for the treatment of their alcohol dependency. People knew of the reasons why their medication was prescribed and were satisfied with the support they received when taking it.

There was a sufficient number of skilled and trained staff to provide people who used the service with a continuity of therapeutic support and treatment.

Quality assurance (QA) systems were in place which enabled people to informally share their views about the service. Other QA systems were in place to protect people from inappropriate support and treatment.

During a routine inspection

People told us that they provided with the right level of information about the purpose of the service and were kept fully informed about their treatment and recovery programmes. People also told us that the staff always treated them with respect.

There were effective systems in place to assess, monitor, review, support and treat people who used the service. People said that they had gained mental, psychological and physical health benefits as a result of their treatment programmes. This reported evidence was supported by recorded evidence which was held in people's care records.

Vulnerable adults and children were safeguarded from the risk of harm because staff were knowledgeable about their roles and responsibilities to protect vulnerable people from abuse.

People were provided with safe and appropriate support and treatment by members of staff who were trained and supported to do their work, which they found to be rewarding.

People who used the service were given information about how to make a complaint and knew who to speak with if they were dissatisfied with the standard and quality of the service provided. However, all of the people we spoke with said that they had no cause to make a complaint.
