During a routine inspection
Records showed and a relative told us they were involved in making decisions about the care and treatment of the person receiving care and the care they were receiving was of a high quality. The relative told us 'I'm really lucky, they are excellent'.
The person's needs were assessed and care was planned and delivered in line with their individual care plan. This was regularly reviewed and updated.
The provider had an effective system in place to ensure people using the service were protected from healthcare acquired infections and that care was provided in a clean and hygienic way.
Staff told us and we saw records that there were enough of them to perform the tasks required of them. Staff told us that they felt supported in their work and managers were approachable. The relative of the person who used the service told us that staff 'take their own initiative'.
The manager and relative told us that the manager had contacted the relative after the service had commenced to discuss the quality of service provided by the agency. We saw and staff told us they were aware of the provider's complaints policies and procedures.
