All Inspections

During a routine inspection

At the time of our inspection, the provider cared for 12 people. We spoke with six of these people or their relatives and asked them about the care they received. Everyone told us staff always asked before helping with personal care, for example assisting with bathing or showering. People told us care staff gave them a choice, for example in the meals that were prepared for them. People said carers turned up on time and stayed the correct amount of time. People said they felt the carers were competent at their jobs and delivered care in a friendly and compassionate way.

We found the provider had systems in place to ensure valid consent was gained from people before care or treatment was delivered.

People's needs were fully assessed and care planned so staff could deliver appropriate care and support.

We found the provider had systems in place to ensure people were safeguarded from the risk of abuse.

The provider had robust recruitment procedures in place to ensure staff were suitable for the role.

Systems were in place to ensure the quality of the service was assessed. This was achieved through surveys, feedback and regular checks and audits.

During a routine inspection

We talked with three people who used the service and two people's representatives. They all told us they were "satisfied" with the quality of services and they were involved in making decisions about the care and treatment provided. One told us overall the staff had the 'right approach'.

They also explained if they had any concerns they would feel comfortable making their views known to the Registered Manager.

We reviewed people's records and found the care records demonstrated people's needs were assessed and care and treatment was mostly planned and delivered in line with people's individual care needs.
