During a routine inspection

People's privacy and dignity were respected. We observed staff treating people with respect and being courteous. People's preferences and experiences were taken into account in relation to how care, support and treatment were delivered. One person told us, 'They don't force me to do anything. I can choose.'

People experienced treatment and support that met their needs and protected their rights. People's support plans contained a good level of information that ensured their needs were being met. We spoke with five people who used the service and they told us they were happy with the treatment and support they received. One person told us, 'Everything is alright; it is definitely working for me.'

People who used the service were protected against the risk of abuse. The majority of staff had received training in abuse awareness and protecting children and vulnerable adults. The policies and procedures were available for staff in relation to safeguarding. The people we spoke with told us they felt safe and comfortable with staff.

People were treated by staff who were supported to deliver care safely and to an appropriate standard. Staff had a programme of on going training and appraisal.

There were quality monitoring programmes in place, which included people giving feedback about their care, support and treatment. This provided a good overview of the quality of the services provided.
