During a routine inspection
One person who used the service told us the care they had received was 'very good'. One relative told us 'I am happy, everything is fine', another relative told us the care their relative received was 'excellent'.
All three people we spoke with told us if they had a concern they would raise this with staff and felt they would be listened to. One person said they had raised concerns in the past regarding staff visit times. Another person said they had raised a concern about a missed visit. They both said management had listened to their concerns, provided them with an apology and reassured them action would be taken to ensure it did not happen again.
We found appropriate checks were undertaken before staff began work.
Although people made positive comments about the support they received, we found evidence people were not protected against the risks associated with the unsafe use and management of medicines because the registered provider had not made appropriate arrangements for recording when staff prompted and/or administered medicines.
