During a routine inspection

We spoke with the clinical staff who met with the patients and spoke with the administrator for the service. We also met with the manager of the provider service which liaised with the general practitioners. We noted that staff who provided treatment and those who managed the service were aware of the importance of respecting people's privacy, dignity and human rights.

We reviewed the controls that were in place for hygiene and patient safety. We saw that the consultation for the patients took place in a private room. The staff involved with the patients demonstrated that they were aware of the importance of safeguarding and it's relevance to their practice and management of a personalised service. We observed that staff were well supported by managers. We saw a service improvement plan. We saw the systems that were in place for the provider to assess people's opinion about the service.
