All Inspections

4 November 2011

During a routine inspection

We spoke with three people who use the service and four of their relatives. They were very positive about the care and support they received. They all told us that they were fully involved in planning and agreeing their care. They told us:

"Everything they do for us is respectful and we couldn't manage without them."

"We are happy with the care workers; we have no concerns about the care."

We feel 100 percent pleased with the care and the agency."

We found that people's needs are being met in line with their wishes. We saw that systems are in place to help in keeping people safe from abuse. We saw that suitable checks are carried out to ensure staff are safe to work with people, but practice is not always consistent. We saw that systems are in place to ensure that staff are supervised to do their job, but we could not determine the frequency at which supervision takes place. We saw gaps in the staff training records and no information was provided as to when these gaps in staff training would be addressed. We saw that the registered provider check whether people are satisfied with the service they receive.
