All Inspections

During a routine inspection

As part of our inspection we spoke with people who used the service, staff, professionals and the registered manager. We also spent time looking through support plans and policies and procedures.

The people we spoke with made positive comments about the care and support they received. Comments included; 'They are very good. They support me well. They treat me right and we get along well. Staff help me with domestic tasks and sometime with my reading and writing'.

We looked at how Insight Rehabilitation Services liaised with other providers and the relationships in place. One professional said to us; 'I would struggle to think of anything negative to say about them. The staff and refreshing and proactive'.

We looked at how staff were supported to carry out their work and if they had access to relevant training opportunities. One member of staff said to us; 'It's brilliant, I really enjoy my work. I did an induction when I started and there is plenty of training available. I have a supervision with my manager usually every 3 months'.

We looked at the measures in place to monitor the quality of service and handle complaints effectively. We found there were appropriate systems in place.

18 December 2012

During a routine inspection

We spoke to one of the three people who used the service. They told us that they had no concerns about the care and treatment they received from Insight Rehabilitation Specialists, "No problems, no problems at all."

We found that people's views and experiences were taken into account in the way the service was provided and delivered in relation to their care. People experienced care, treatment and support that met their needs and were protected from the risk of abuse. People were supported by suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff. The provider had an effective system in place to identify, assess and manage risks to the health, safety and welfare of people who used the service.
