All Inspections

During a routine inspection

We visited the clinic on two separate occasions and both times the clinic was cancelled at short notice due to staff sickness. We were however able to talk to two staff members who work from the Eastbourne location. We propose to visit the location at an agreed time to talk to patients. The feedback will be then be collated and used to inform the next inspection process.

Staff told us that they worked on their own supported by the BPAS counselling advisor and they worked closely as a team. The staff member said “Very good company to work for.”

From talking with staff and viewing the content policy and procedures, we saw that staff ensured that before patients received any care or treatment they were asked for their consent and the provider acted in accordance with their wishes.

Patients were cared for by staff who were supported to deliver care and treatment safely and to an appropriate standard.

Patients who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.

Patients were made aware of the complaints system. This was provided in a format that met their needs.
