During a routine inspection
We viewed many positive comments in letters of appreciation sent to the provider. Comments included, 'fantastic service', 'marvellous and most considerate', "professional and prompt" and 'your ambulance service was superb'.
We saw clear and comprehensive records were kept of patients' care and treatment. The records provided information about patients' medical needs and treatment whilst they were being transported by ambulance. We saw that patients consented to their treatment and care and this was fully documented.
Staff were aware of safeguarding procedures and had received appropriate training to safeguard adults and children from risk of harm. Patients and their relatives told us staff were competent, professional and fully trained to deal with a range of diverse and complex medical needs.
The service had an appropriate complaints procedure and policy in place. However, no complaints had been received about the service in the past year.
