During a routine inspection
One person said of the dentist, "He always explains thing and doesn't push anyone into anything." Another person said "I wouldn't want to see anyone else. This may sound strange but it is lovely here."
People completed medical questionnaires and we saw that these were kept in their records to ensure the dentist was able to provide treatment that was planned and delivered to suit their needs and conditions.
This service was a single handed practice and the dentist and the dental nurse worked together at all times. They told us they each knew their role within the surgery and got on well together. They said any quiet times were spent considering how any improvements could be made. We saw that the staff kept themselves updated by continually learning and completing training necessary for their role, either externally or on-line.
The staff were aware of their responsibility to keep people safe and report any evidence of abuse to the local authority.
