During a routine inspection

We spoke with four people who received a service from the agency. We also spoke with one relative of a person who received a service. Every one of the people spoken with told us that their care was personalised to their needs and that their privacy, dignity and independence was respected. For example, one person told us, "They are very good at thinking about my independence. They let me wash my own hands and face when I'm feeling well enough. They watch over me carefully. I use a walking frame and they always make sure I'm sitting down safely before they leave the room".

People also expressed satisfaction with infection control practices when care workers visited them. They told us that care workers appeared appropriately trained and used disposable gloves and hand sanitising gel.

Everyone that we spoke with told us that they had been made aware of the agency's complaints procedure. They also told us that they were confident that if they raised concerns these would be acted upon. For example, one person said, "I have never had to make a formal complaint but have the phone number and details if I needed to. When we first started having a service from the agency there were one or two things that were not quite right. I rang the manager and straight away these were put right. Thats what we like about this agency, you can ring them up and they always try and sort things quickly".

During a routine inspection

People told us they received the same staff on a regular basis and that this had helped them to build up a relationship of trust with their carers.

Everyone told us that they had been consulted about the times of their visits.

People told us they had copies of their care plans in their home and that they had agreed the contents.

People told us that they felt safe and staff treated them well.

Everyone expressed satisfaction with staff who visited them.
