During a routine inspection
Our visit was discussed and arranged with the practice manager one day in advance. This was to ensure that we had time to see and speak with staff working at the practice, as well as people registered with the practice.
People that used the practice told us they were very happy with the quality of the information, care and treatment they received. One person we spoke with said: 'They have been brilliant with my son. He was nervous, now he thanks them for looking after him'.
People we spoke with told us they had consented to their treatment and were involved in making decisions about the treatment they received.
People felt they were given enough information and were involved in the choice of treatment they received.
We found that people received care and treatment in a clean and hygienic environment. People we spoke with had no concerns about the cleanliness of the practice.
We looked at the recruitment process in place. We were able to see that appropriate checks were not always carried out before staff commenced employment.
We looked at records that showed that the provider regularly monitored the quality of its service.
