During a routine inspection
We spoke to five people who used the service, each of whom said they were satisfied with the service they received.
People told us that they were given a range of options and that they were able to make informed decisions on what treatment they received. We saw information leaflets in the waiting areas about the services provided and the fees charged.
People said they had been patients for a number of years and said that they did not want to be treated anywhere else. One person told us that they had moved out of the area but still came back to receive their dental treatment at the practice.
People said they were give a range of options by the dentist and had a treatment plan which they signed.
People knew how to make a complaint but told us they had not had cause to use it.
We observed two people receiving treatment. The dentist and dental hygienist explained to people what they were doing and consulted people about the treatment available.
We saw the service had infection control procedures for the cleaning and sterilisation of equipment.
Staff were subject to the required checks with the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and had ongoing support with training so that dental nurses maintained their registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
