During a routine inspection
The surgeries were all located upstairs and patients were able to use a stair lift if the required it. We were saw opening times and details of staff on display for patients
Patient's we spoke with were complimentary about the care they received. One person told us 'I receive an excellent standard of care, it is a good practice and they explain things'.
We spoke with four members of staff. All were able to tell us the appropriate procedure to take with any safeguarding concerns. One person told us 'I would report any concerns to the manager and the dentist'.
We saw effective decontamination procedures in place to help prevent the transmission of infection to patients. We saw the dental surgery had a policy in place for infection prevention, infection control, spillage and waste management for staff to refer to.
We spoke with two patients who were complimentary about the staff. One person told us 'The staff are knowledgeable they know what they are doing'.
The Practice Manager is in the process of registering as the registered manager with the Care Quality Commission.
