However, although the person receiving domiciliary care services from the agency and their relative told us they were generally happy with the agency; we found that failures by the provider to ensure suitable arrangements for safeguarding vulnerable adults and checking the 'fitness' of new staff were in place was putting the person using the service at risk. We also found the person's needs may not be fully met because not all staff had received training in some key aspects of their role. Finally, the person using the service may also not be protected against the risks associated with receiving unsafe or inappropriate care because the provider had failed to appropriately maintain certain essential records, as well as ensure other records could always be accessed quickly.
