During a routine inspection
People were very satisfied with consistent care workers and a flexible, reliable service. They commented: "the agency is brilliant", "staff and the office are sensitive and respectful." The support provided helped people to maintain their independence, family roles, lifestyles and to attend worship, other services and health appointments.
People took part in care planning and staff met their needs as they preferred. Staff had guidance to do so and felt well supported, although internal communication could improve. They had professional development for their roles. There were new systems for more consistent staff supervision and spot checks about quality and safety.
We were not informed as legally required when the management and services provided had changed. The provider told us rapid action would be taken to address this, improve accountability and reduce potential risks for people. Systems in place were known by staff and managers to respond to and learn from any adult safeguarding concerns, incidents and complaints should they arise. Managers took steps after our visit so that systems and training would be put in place to safeguard children.
