During an inspection looking at part of the service

People told us that the staff spoke with them recently about their care plans and that they knew what was it. Comments from the people who used the service included, 'I know what is in my care plan', 'I am very happy with the care I get here', 'The staff are very helpful and caring'; 'I can't fault the care here'.

During a routine inspection

All those we spoke with told us that they felt the staff involved them in their care. One person told us that she had some written information about the services that they provided at Ashlea Grage.

We asked relatives about issues relating to safeguarding of people. They told us that they were aware of the procedure and would know what to do if they were unhappy about the care that their relatives were receiving.

The comments from the people who used the service included, 'I am perfectly safe here', 'the staff respect our rights and they treat us with dignity', 'I have no concerns at all', 'I know what to do if I am not happy about anything'. 'We are well looked after here'.
