During a routine inspection
We observed care being delivered to four people in their homes. We looked at four care plans and spoke with six people about their or their relative's care. We also spoke with six members of staff, four of them were carers, one was the registered manager and one was one of the registered providers. We saw that people's care plans were clearly set out and people's needs met. The care plans included people's preferences and choices and detailed guidance on how people should be supported.
People told us that the staff helped them to remain as independent as possible and that they felt safe when supported by staff. All the people we spoke with felt they were treated with respect and that the care workers had the right skills to care for them. One family member told us that they 'really couldn't be any happier, they have done an amazing job'. One person told us they were 'very pleased with the service I get'.
Staff felt supported and that they received appropriate training to support them in their role. Staff were able to describe the agency's safeguarding procedures and their role in keeping people safe.
The views of people who used the service were surveyed and systems were in place to monitor the ongoing performance of the service.
