During a routine inspection

People that we spoke with were satisfied with the care and support they received from the agency. One person commented, 'The staff are very respectful and knowledgeable.'

Care and support was being regularly reviewed to ensure that people's needs were being met. There was evidence of people's involvement in the planning of their care and support.

The provider had ensured that there was easy access to safeguarding reporting and contact information for the local authority safeguarding teams. Staff had received safeguarding training and information about how to report any incidents of abuse.

There were on-going training sessions in place to ensure that staff could safely deliver care and support to people. Staff received supervision and attended team meetings to provide them with on-going support.

The agency had an effective system to deal with concerns and complaints that were raised by people using the service. People regularly had access to the manager and staff to resolve any concerns that they had.

During a routine inspection

People we spoke with, and parents of children receiving support, were satisfied and complimentary about the care and support they received from the agency. One person commented that, 'The support I receive is invaluable'.

People we spoke with, from establishments that the agency supplied care workers, were complimentary regarding the agency and its efficient and reliable service. One person commented that, 'The agency supplies good quality staff'. Care and support was well coordinated and care planning documentation was detailed and up to date.

Staff received training regarding safeguarding children and adults. However, improvements were needed regarding safeguarding procedures and contact information to ensure that any allegations or incidents could be appropriately reported.

There were thorough staff recruitment procedures in place to ensure that only the right staff were employed.

Quality assurance procedures were in place to monitor the effectiveness of the agency's services. People's opinions were sought to ensure that any concerns or changes to the care and services provided were identified and actioned.
