During an inspection looking at part of the service
We found that the care planning format had been reviewed, and that regular reviewing of the care plan was taking place. We saw that appropriate risk assessments had been completed.
At this visit we saw that there were sufficient staff on duty to meet the needs of the people that used the service, and the staffing rota showed that additional care staff hours had been provided.
At this visit we saw a variety of records that included care records, medication records, records of the food provided and the staff rota. The records were neat, legible and fit for purpose. When not in use they were stored securely so that information was kept safe.
Comments seen on recently completed questionnaires included 'It is a very good home where the staff are very caring. I am happy here', 'Very satisfied with my care. The girls are lovely and the home is very clean and well furnished', 'Very well cared for, I am lucky to be here', 'Very good all round care' and 'Very good meals'.
