During a routine inspection

People's care plans were person centred and were individual to the person which meant that people were able to enjoy a service which was discussed with them and tailored accordingly. This included social activities as well as ensuring that health and medical needs were provided.

Care records showed that people had had their needs assessed and their care planned taking into account their past experiences, life history, likes and dislikes. Appropriate agencies, such as health services and social services were involved in the care planning process and regular reviews of care were seen to have taken place.

We saw that records about care, treatment and support were clear, factual and accurate and maintained the dignity and confidentiality of the people who use services.

The people we spoke with at the home did not articulate their views in lengthy sentences. However, they did share positive statements about the home and the staff. Some people told us the home was "good" or "nice" and some people described the staff team in the same manner.

Other people told us they enjoyed going out, or were pleased to tell us about their room or activities.
