During a routine inspection

We inspected the agency office and spoke on the telephone with two people who used the service and two relatives of people who used the service.

People told us that they were very happy with the service they received. They told us that staff were efficient and that most of the time they were aware of which member of staff would visit them each day.

We found people were given appropriate information and were involved in decisions made about their care and treatment. People who used the service told us staff treated them with respect and were polite, friendly and knowledgeable.

People told us that they were well cared for. One person who used the service said, 'I feel that I get a really good service' And 'Staff are alright and I am satisfied with most of them.' We found that care was planned and delivered in a way that ensured people's safety and welfare.

People told us that they felt safe with staff in their home. We saw that the provider had systems and processes in place to ensure that people were protected from the risk of abuse.

We saw the provider had systems and processes in place to gather feedback from people who used the service. Report writing in the care records was up to date and reflected the changes in care and treatment that people received.

During a routine inspection

People who use the service told us that they had no concerns about the care and support provided by the agency and staff were always pleasant when they visited and sensitive to their needs. They also told us that staff are kind, considerate and caring and have a flexible approach to providing their care and support.

However, some people told us that they don't know on a day to day basis which members of staff were going to provide their care and support and at times had to contact the agency to find out who would be arriving. This matter was discussed with the manager who confirmed that the agency would take on board their comments and look at the current rota system to see if improvements could be made.
