During a routine inspection

We found that people were able to express their views as far as they were able to do so and were involved in making decisions about their care and treatment. We spoke with two relatives of people who used the service and they confirmed that they had been involved in the implementation of the care plans. We found that people were supported in their independence and in community activities. Comments from relatives included "All the staff seem nice and are caring", "I don't have any concerns about the service", "The staff are marvellous, nothing is too much trouble" and "I am very happy with the support my relative gets." Both relatives stated that they would recommend this service to others.

We looked at six staff files and good recruitment processes were currently in place. Changes had been made recently with the recruitment of a human resources manager. We spoke to three staff members and they commented "The training is good here, it helps me to remember what to do", "The senior staff are very helpful", "The staff team are very supportive to each other", "I don't have any concerns" and "I get a lot of job satisfaction. All the staff said that they received good support from the staff team and the senior staff.

We contacted the local authority contracts and safeguarding team and they confirmed that they had no concerns about this service.

We have received no concerns about this service.

During a routine inspection

We spoke with people who use the service by visiting them in their homes and by speaking on the telephone. People told us staff were very helpful and fantastic and support people to live a life of their choice. One person said that since commencing with Your Life agency, their life had changed very much for the better.

People spoken with said they were happy with the staff and felt they did a good job. Comments included 'staff know what they are doing' , 'staff assist me to live a good quality life', 'staff are clear about what I want them to do and are kind and helpful'.
