Responsive-This key question has been rated Good. This meant people's needs were met. People's care plans reflected the principles of right support, right care and right culture. People's support needs were clearly identified and guidance for staff was detailed and centred around people's individual needs and preferences. People's needs were regularly reviewed, and support was adjusted as required. People were supported to maintain relationships and follow their hobbies and interests.

When people accessed the community staff considered what support they might require to ensure they were able to have a good experience and overcome any potential barriers.

People were supported to regularly go out including taking part in local community events. People’s relatives confirmed their loved ones were supported to participate in activities of interest to them. One told us, [Name] is supported to follow their interests which include going for walks and then gong to the local pub for lunch. There are lots of places they enjoy going to, and the staff support them to do this.” Another person’s relative said, “[Name] accesses the community on a regular basis with staff. They go on day trips and holidays and do some voluntary work locally.”

To ensure information was accessible to people, information had been developed using simple text and supporting pictures to aid their understanding.
