During a routine inspection
We met and spoke to the person who used the service. We looked at their records and spoke to the staff on duty. We saw and heard staff speak to this person in a way that demonstrated a good understanding of this person's needs and choices.
We saw this person's privacy and dignity being respected at all times. We saw that staff treated this person respectfully and the interactions we observed were positive. The person living in the home was given choices to promote their independence.
We saw that individual's care records were very detailed and described their needs and how those needs were met. This person was involved in the planning of their care and had signed some records to agree these documents.
Staff were clear about the actions they would take should they have any concerns about this person's safety and had a good understanding of issues relating to abuse.
Sufficient staffing levels were in place and staff received a range of training opportunities to ensure they could meet individual's needs.
