People confirmed that they were treated with respect and their dignity was maintained.

They also told us that they were satisfied with the standard of care provided and were of the opinion that staff understood their needs. We were able to speak individually with people using the service who told us they were happy with the support provided by Reablement-extracare.

Some comments made were "Staff are very pleasant and on time'; 'I think the service is great'; 'They involve me in the care I receive' and 'Everything is perfect.'

We found they were treated respectfully, given support to have their say in how they wanted to be helped and were supported to do the things they wanted to do.

Systems were in place to offer protection to the people who use the service from abuse and people spoken with confirmed that they felt safe and had no concerns regarding the care provided.

The people who accessed the service provided by Reablement-extracare were cared for by staff that were appropriately recruited, well trained and experienced at supporting them.

No complaints, concerns or allegations were received from the people using the service during our visit and the provider confirmed that they had not received any formal complaints in the past 12 months.

The Reablement Service is currently registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as the Reablement-Extracare Service. The Reablement-Extracare Service has been redesigned into four different services. They are currently in the process of registering these four services with the CQC. This report refers only to the Reablement Service.

We spoke with three people who used the service who said they thought it was a very good service. The comments we heard included 'It couldn't have been better. All the girls are wonderful, obliging and helpful'; 'I would not change anything. I am 110% satisfied' and 'I am treated with dignity and respect. I have no complaints about the service at all.'

We checked care records for three people and found that they received the care and support that had been assessed, planned and agreed. We spoke with three staff members who told us that they were really well supported by the team leaders and managers.

We found that staff were aware of their responsibilities to protect vulnerable adults and they had received relevant training about this. The people who used the service told us that they felt safe with all of the staff who had visited their homes.

We found that the provider had an effective system in place to monitor the quality of care and support that people received and actions were taken to improve the quality of the service
