Archived: Supported Living Services South

We spoke with people who received support from staff. They all told us they were happy were they lived and liked it there. They made various comments such as; 'Its good here', 'I like my flat' and I've been out today with the staff it's been good.' One person told us they were 'ok' and they all told us they 'liked' the staff and were 'happy.'

We also spoke with relatives who acted on behalf of their relatives who received support from the service. We received mixed comments about the 'Supported Living Services Locality three.'

Two relatives felt up to date and included in their relatives support plan and felt the communication with the service was good. However one relative told us they had never been invited or asked to be included in a review of their relatives support.

Following our visit, staff have provided recent audits of checks carried out by the local authority's contracts and monitoring team regarding their checks in May and September 2012. Their reports overall were positive about the service and identified just some areas for improvement and review.
