During a routine inspection

Individual Solutions SK provided a short term service to people who were returning home from a stay in hospital and for people living in their own home who would benefit from a short term assessment or reablement. The service also provided long term care and support to a small number of people.

We spoke with the registered manager and ten others from the staff team. Many of the staff we spoke with had worked for the agency for a number of years. All were generally happy with the support they received.

We looked at records including medication administration records which we found to be unsatisfactory as they did not protect people from unsafe administration of medication.

We also visited three people who used the service in their home and spoke to three others by telephone all said that overall they were happy with the service.

We were told; 'I am quite satisfied overall"; "I was asked what I wanted from the service"; "It was explained to me that the service would last about six weeks'. Another person said that 'There had been some issues over times of visits either too early or too late which had now been resolved'. Other comments received were 'I have three regular support workers who are very nice'; 'The people who have visited have been very good.'
