All Inspections

During a routine inspection

All those we spoke with provided us with positive comments. They said their needs were being met by kind and caring staff. They said independence was promoted and they were able to make decisions and choices about the way care and support was delivered.

We found staff to be well supported and appropriately trained. Methods for monitoring the quality of service provided had been established and systems had been developed in order to protect the health and safety of those using the service.

Comments received included:

"I am over the moon. They (the staff) are brilliant. They are three nice girls who come to see to my wife. They have her dancing. She loves dancing. They bring her 60's music to dance to, which she loves. I couldn't ask for more because they make her really happy."

"I cannot fault them. They have saved my life. They really have."

"My relative is used to routine, as he has dementia. We have the same carers coming for most of the time, which is important to him and he likes them both."

During our inspection we assessed standards relating to care and welfare and how people were supported to be involved in the planning of their own care. We also looked at how they were safeguarded from abuse. Standards relating to staff training and monitoring the quality of service provision were also inspected. We did not identify any concerns in any of the outcome areas we assessed.

People using the service told us they were very satisfied with the way the service delivered care and support to them.

People told us they all had a file that detailed their care and support, including emergency contact details and staff completed notes after their visit.

People said the service was reliable and they knew who was visiting them on a regular basis.

People made comments about the staff, who they said were "friendly", 'more than happy' with the service they received and staff were 'well chosen' to meet their needs.

People felt staff were approachable, accessible and they could contact management if they had any concerns or queries.
