We spoke with a range of people about the service. The operations manager and staff. No one who used the service was available to talk with on the day of the Inspection. We had responses from external agencies including social services in order to gain a balanced overview of what people experienced using Addaction services.

During the inspection we looked at care, maintenance and quality assurance records. We also looked at evaluation surveys completed by people who used the service. Comments from evaluation forms were positive and included, 'The support workers are brilliant. They have given me a lot of confidence from my sessions with her.' They also told us the staff were helpful, understanding and supportive. One person wrote, 'I now know from talking to the staff the consequences of my addiction and feel able to discuss things openly.'

Staff members we spoke with had an awareness of the needs of people who were on the programme. One staff member said, 'Depending on the individual sessions are held weekly and works well.'

Staff told us they felt supported, had regular meetings with their peer group and the manager was approachable and helpful.
