During a routine inspection
People who live at the home and their relatives told us that the home was a nice place to live and that there were plenty of outings and things for them to do.
People said that their care was discussed and agreed with them prior to admission to the home and their needs were met by caring staff.
People said that they were happy at the home and if they had any concerns then they knew who to speak to. One person said that they had discussions with staff about a particular issue and it was quickly resolved.
People told us that they thought the home was comfortable and clean. One person said that they enjoyed been able to go outside when they wanted or stay in their room.
People said that staff listened to what they said and were always about when needed. One person told us that if they needed assistance during the night they only had to press their call button and someone would come.
Other comments included 'The staff are pretty good, can't complain.' and 'I have seen a number of changes and there have been improvements over the last year'. One person told us 'The food is ok; we are having fish and chips today'.
A visitor commented that their relative was well taken care of and within reason very much did what they wanted.
