During a routine inspection
We spoke with six people and three relatives of people who used the service. We also spoke with four members of staff, the director of services and the registered manager who supported the people who used the service.
The people we spoke with who used the service all provided positive feedback regarding their experience of the service. Comments included 'they're efficient, very professional, caring and highly organised' and 'they listen to what you want, ask me how things are going and ask me how I like things done'.
We viewed four care plans. There were robust arrangements in place that demonstrated that consent had been provided in relation to the care that people received. People we spoke with were aware of the content of their care plan.
Recruitment procedures protected people from the risk of being supported by unsuitable care staff because references had been fully checked.
Staff were knowledgeable about the people they supported and they were provided with training appropriate to their roles. Staff were regularly supervised. One member of staff told us "our priority is the service user. We employ the appropriate people and would recommend them to other people as a good place to work.'
We found that the provider had robust systems in place to regularly assess and monitor the quality of the services provided.
