All Inspections

During a routine inspection

We spoke with relatives of people who live at the home. All the people we spoke with said overall they were happy and satisfied with the care provided at the home. One person said "The manager and staff are very caring." Another person told us: "I am made welcome at all times. ' All the relatives we spoke with praised the manager and said she took personal interest in the care and welfare of the people who lived at the home. However some relatives we spoke with also said that sometimes there wasn't enough communication and they were not provided with enough information. One person also felt that sometimes there was a lack of co-ordination in hand-over of the information from staff. One relative felt that the activities available for people living at the home were not varied enough.

On our visit we found that people were treated with respect and dignity, and they and their relatives were mostly involved in their care. Staff were mostly suitably trained and care plans maintained adequately. Appropriate risk assessments had been undertaken for various aspects of care delivery.
