During a routine inspection

We spoke with twelve people who use the service and three relatives

People able to express their views said they were happy with the care and support they received, and felt that their needs were being met. One person told us ''it was a five star service; they could not fault the care they received. The staff were friendly and would do anything for you'. Another person told us 'the facilities were of a high standard, and they liked the various lounge and garden areas, which made it more personal'.

People said they got the help and support they needed as there was usually enough staff on duty. People felt that staff treated them with dignity and respected their privacy and independence. People also felt safe and able to raise concerns with staff if they were unhappy.

Relatives told us they were happy with the care and support their family member received, and felt involved in decisions about their care and treatment. One relative told us ' the home was relaxed and friendly and had some excellent staff that worked hard to meet peoples' needs'. Another relative said 'the service provided high standards of care and treated people with respect'. However two relatives felt that there was not enough staff on duty at times to meet peoples' needs.
