All Inspections

During a routine inspection

People were supported in a way that maximised their involvement. This ensured that people had as much control as possible of their lives and to the level of their ability. We saw that people were in control of their lives and were enjoying a full range of activities and holidays of their choosing.

One person told us, "I do all sorts of exciting things; like going on holiday, weekends away, going to shows, having meals out". "The staff are all great, I like them all. They help me to have a routine, which is very important to me."

We saw the agency involved other services to ensure people received timely healthcare to maintain their health and wellbeing.

The agency had in place all the necessary equipment and systems to support the operation of a domiciliary care agency. People were protected from the risks of unsafe or inappropriate care and treatment because accurate and appropriate records were maintained.

During a routine inspection

When we inspected the agency was supporting two people in their own homes.

We spoke with two relatives of people receivng support and met with one person in receipt of care. We also visited the head office in Cockermouth and spoke with the manager and staff.

The people we spoke to told us that CIC provided a good quality of care and supported them to lead active lives.

People told us:

"The staff are all great, I like them all. They help me to have a rountine, which is very important to me."

"I do allsorts of exciting things; like going on holiday, going to the cinema, having meals out".

'They are all good carers, its like having family help you out'. And 'They help us to have a normal life'.
